1. About this policy
This policy explains what personal information Bramalea Tire collects, why, and what we do with it. It covers bramaleatire.com and the requests you make through it, by phone and at our shop. "We", "us" and "Bramalea Tire" mean 940993 Ontario Inc., operating as Bramalea Tire, 2020 Clark Blvd. Unit 6, Brampton, Ontario L6T 5R4.
We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's anti-spam law (CASL). This policy works together with our Terms and Conditions.
2. What we collect
What you give us. When you request a quote, book a service or reserve tires, we ask for:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- how you'd like us to contact you (text, phone or email);
- your vehicle's year, make, model, trim and tire size, and for returning customers your licence plate;
- the products or service you want, your preferred date and time, and any notes you add.
At the shop we also record what's needed to do the work and invoice it, such as your vehicle details, the work done, payment, and for tire storage the condition of your set.
What the site collects as you browse. Our website records how it is used: pages viewed, clicks and scrolling, the device and browser you use, your approximate location from your IP address, and the page or ad that brought you here (for example a Google ad tag). Section 6 explains the tools that do this.
What stays in your browser. The site remembers your vehicle, tire size, recent searches and filter choices in your browser so you don't have to enter them again. This stays on your device; we don't receive it unless you submit a form.
We don't ask for your date of birth, driver's licence, social insurance number or full payment card details online.
3. How we use it
We use your information to:
- answer your quote request, confirm and manage your booking or reservation, and do the work;
- contact you about your request: confirmations, booking links, "your vehicle is ready", stock arrival and storage notices;
- invoice you, handle warranty and rebate paperwork, and keep the records the law requires;
- improve the website and fix problems, using the browsing information in section 6;
- send you offers, only if you've agreed to receive them (section 5).
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it to make automated decisions about you.
4. Who we share it with
We share your information only with the companies that help us run the business, and only what each one needs:

Tire manufacturers receive your invoice only when you send it to them yourself for a rebate. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to collect money you owe us.
5. Texts and emails
About your request. When you ask for a quote, book or reserve, you agree that we can contact you by text, phone or email about that request. These messages are part of the service, such as confirmations, booking links, "your vehicle is ready" and storage notices. Our staff send texts by hand or through our customer system (Odoo).
Offers. We send promotional texts or emails only if you've said yes to them. Every promotional message tells you who it's from and how to stop. Reply STOP to a text or use the unsubscribe link in an email, and we'll stop within 10 business days. Message and data rates may apply.
6. Cookies, browser storage and analytics
Cookies we need. The site sets a session cookie and a security cookie so forms work and can't be misused. Our server keeps your IP address and browser type with the session for about 2 hours.
Remembered choices. Your vehicle, tire size, recent vehicles and filter settings are saved in your browser's local storage. On our deals page a random ID, not linked to your name, lets us show how many people are viewing; we delete it after 2 days. You can clear all of this in your browser settings.
Analytics. We use:
- Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors move through pages (clicks, scrolling, taps) so we can find and fix problems. Our quote, booking and reservation forms are masked, so Clarity doesn't see what you type. Clarity uses cookies; see Microsoft's privacy statement.
- Ahrefs Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.
We don't use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or tracking for ads on other sites. If you click our video, it plays from YouTube's privacy-enhanced service (youtube-nocookie.com).
Your choice. You can block or delete cookies in your browser. The site still works; it just won't remember your vehicle.
7. Where your information is stored
Our service providers store information in Canada, the United States and Europe. When it's outside Canada, the laws of that country apply, and authorities there may be able to access it. We choose providers that protect information to a standard comparable to Canadian law.

After that we delete the information or remove anything that identifies you.
9. How we protect it
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Only staff who need your information to serve you can see it, and our systems require a login. Paper records at the shop are kept in an area customers can't access. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we'll tell you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as the law requires.
10. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we've used it;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- stop sending you offers, at any time;
- delete information we no longer need to keep by law.
Email or write to our Privacy Officer (section 13). We'll answer within 30 days and may ask you to confirm who you are first. Accessing your own information is free. If you withdraw consent for something we need to serve you, such as contacting you about a booking, we may not be able to complete that request.
11. Children
Our site and services are meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The version on this page, with its "last updated" date, is the current one. If we make a significant change to how we use your information, we'll ask for your consent where the law requires it.
